By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using Learnr, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. Logging in constitutes your consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your information, including the courses and learning data you create, as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not create an account or use Learnr.
When you create an account on Learnr, we collect your name, email address, and the account credentials needed to sign in. When you use the learning chat, we store your conversation history to provide personalized learning experiences.
We also collect the courses and learning content associated with your account - including the topics you enter, the courses and lessons generated for you, your progress, quiz answers, accuracy, XP, and other activity. This course and learning data is stored on our systems, may be viewed by Learnr, and is processed as described in this policy.
For security and abuse prevention, we also process limited technical information about your connection, including your IP address. We do not store your IP address in its raw form - it is stored only as an irreversible hash, which we use to detect and limit abuse such as the creation of multiple free accounts from the same network.
To understand how Learnr is used and to fix problems, we record how you use the app, such as the pages you visit, what you click, and what you type into the app, including the topics you enter. The Learnr team may also watch your screen in Learnr live while you are using it, to help with support and to improve the product. Password fields and sign-in or class codes are always hidden from recordings and live viewing. Live viewing only shows Learnr itself, never other apps or tabs, and is not saved.
We use your information to:
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider. We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. You can permanently delete your account and associated data from Settings → Delete account, or contact us if you need help.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information, including your courses and learning data, with service providers necessary to operate Learnr (such as AI model providers used to generate and personalize learning content, and our cloud database provider) under confidentiality obligations. Your courses and learning activity may also be shared in aggregated or anonymized form, surfaced on features such as leaderboards, or shared publicly when you choose to publish a course (see below). By using Learnr, you consent to this sharing.
Learnr lets you publish a course you have created to a shared catalog so other people can discover and start it. If you choose to publish a course, its content (such as the course title, description, topic, and lesson outline) may be made publicly available, including on pages that are visible to anyone on the web and that may be indexed by search engines and AI answer engines. We do not publish your email address or account identifier as part of a published course. Publishing is optional and you control it: you can unpublish a course at any time from within Learnr, after which we remove it from the shared catalog and from newly generated public pages.
Learnr uses local storage to keep you signed in across sessions. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
Learnr is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the Learnr homepage or emailing your registered address.
